OVERVIEW :
Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, the successful candidate’s main mission is to ensure the proper running of activities related to the administration, team management and business development of their assigned territory, with the objective of helping agricultural producers increase their efficiency.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Focusing on the market and employees;
- Managing and communicating an annual business plan;
- Handling customer profiles and segmentation;
- Applying Synagri’s global strategies;
- Overseeing the sales staff and analyzing their performance and objectives;
- Providing leadership;
- Developing, tracking and following budgets;
- Maintaining good relations with the public and associations;
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements;
- Managing recruitment and succession plans;
- Visiting major clients and developing business relationships;
- Keeping up to date with new trends and events in the agri-food industry;
- Making recommendations on operational efficiency;
- Monitoring competition and market trends.
HARD SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree or college technical training in the field;
- Experience: Six (6) years or more in the field of sales;
- Knowledge of the agriculture sector;
- Significant experience in team management;
- Bilingualism: English / French (spoken and written);
- Efficient oral and written communication skills;
- Spirit of initiative and responsibility;
- Ability to influence and convince others to initiate required changes.
