For 50 years CUBEX Limited has provided innovative equipment solutions to municipalities, contractors, and other users of heavy equipment. Operating throughout Canada, Cubex represents several premier manufacturers of construction, and municipal equipment and is currently looking to expand its sales force.
We are currently seeking a Sales Account Manager to join our BC sales team on a full-time basis to handle the lower mainland territory.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Promote and sell municipal and construction equipment throughout the assigned territory
· Develop and maintain long-term relationships with municipalities, contractors and other users of heavy equipment in the territory
· Effectively manage the territory through existing customer visits, cold calls, equipment demonstrations, local marketing, trade shows, etc.
· Be aware of all relevant opportunities arising in the territory and respond to and complete bids, tenders, RFPs, RFQs and direct quotations for these opportunities
· Regularly demonstrate equipment to Operators, Mechanics and Fleet Supervisors and train customers on the proper operation and maintenance of equipment sold
· Update and maintain customer database and CRM
· Build and maintain effective relationships with our suppliers and stay on top of new product developments and industry trends
· Spend at least 70% of your time out in the territory directly meeting with customers and demonstrating equipment
· Drive or transport equipment for demonstration and/or customer deliveries and assist with final inspections and prepping of equipment as required
· Work with other departments (i.e., Parts, Service) to provide exceptional customer service and assist with issue resolution
EXPERIENCE:
· 3+ years in a customer facing sales role preferably in a truck/equipment-based industry
· 3+ years of experience with preparing quotations, tenders, proposals, etc.
· An aptitude for operating a wide variety of specialized heavy and truck-mounted equipment
· Knowledge of the Municipal and Contracting markets and the related budget/tender processes
DESIRED SKILLS:
· Competitive, self-starter who is disciplined, goal orientated and has strong organization skills
· Strong communication, relationship building and presentation skills
· Clean driving abstract and have (or willing to obtain) an Class 3with air endorsement.
· Solid knowledge of MS Office and CRM programs
· Legally able to travel within Canada and the USA if required
